Mayfair Nannies is seeking an experienced, warm and proactive daily nanny for a private family based in Mayfair, London, caring for their 22-month-old son.
The family is looking for a confident nanny with excellent toddler experience who understands the importance of early childhood development and enjoys creating a stimulating, engaging environment for young children.
The little boy enjoys books, outings and attending various toddler classes. The family would love to find someone who can build on these interests, introduce new activities and encourage his natural curiosity through play, exploration and age-appropriate learning.
This is a fully staffed household, with housekeepers and chefs responsible for the family's cooking and cleaning. The nanny's focus will be entirely on the child, although they will be expected to keep his bedroom, play areas and belongings tidy and organised.
The position involves a combination of sole and shared care, so the successful candidate should be equally comfortable taking full responsibility for the little boy and working alongside his parents.
The family also travel occasionally and may require the nanny to accompany them.
Responsibilities
- Providing attentive, nurturing care and maintaining a consistent daily routine.
- Planning stimulating, age-appropriate activities that support learning and development.
- Encouraging language development, early literacy and a love of books.
- Organising and accompanying the child to toddler classes, playgroups, outings and other activities.
- Monitoring developmental milestones and encouraging independence and confidence.
- Creating opportunities for creative play, sensory exploration and social interaction.
- Keeping the child's bedroom, play areas and belongings clean, tidy and organised.
- Managing his wardrobe, toys and other personal belongings.
- Liaising with household staff to ensure the child's daily routine runs smoothly.
- Working confidently in both sole and shared care arrangements.
- Accompanying the family on occasional trips when required.
The Ideal Candidate
- An experienced professional nanny with a strong background caring for toddlers and young children.
- Native English speaker or C2-level English proficiency.
- Excellent knowledge of early childhood development and developmental milestones.
- Warm, patient, nurturing and genuinely enthusiastic about working with young children.
- Creative and proactive, with plenty of ideas for engaging activities and outings.
- Organised, adaptable and confident working within a fully staffed household.
- Comfortable with both sole and shared care.
- Able to take initiative and settle quickly into an established household routine.
- Happy to accompany the family on occasional international travel.
- Excellent professional references.
Previous experience working within a private or fully staffed household would be advantageous.
Driving is not required.
