I am assisting a return client of Mayfair Nannies in their search for an educated and experienced nanny to provide full-time care for their three children, aged 8, 5, and 2.5. This is a permanent, sole-charge position, with the family seeking a nanny to work 5 days per week, 12 hours per day. The position requires a professional who can start as soon as possible.
As the older children attend school, your primary focus will be on caring for the 2.5-year-old. Key responsibilities include planning the children's daily schedules, organising their belongings, and engaging the children in educational and creative activities. You will also be expected to support the children's learning through play, with an emphasis on promoting their development in a fun, stimulating environment. While there is a fully staffed household to handle nursery duties and housekeeping, your role will be child-focused.
You will not be required to drive, as transport for school and extracurricular activities is managed. However, the role involves accompanying the family on trips abroad, particularly to Turkey and the USA, so the candidate must have the ability to travel without visa or passport restrictions.
The nanny will be responsible for preparing meals, helping the children with their morning and evening routines, and supporting the older children with homework and school projects. The nanny will also be expected to keep the children’s play areas tidy, handle light child-related housekeeping tasks like laundry and changing bed linens, and teach appropriate social behaviours such as respect and cooperation. For the younger child, additional responsibilities include changing nappies, scheduling naps, and managing bath time. You will also be responsible for organising engaging activities, playdates, and educational outings suitable for the children's age and development.
This role requires a candidate with a minimum of five years' recent experience working in a private household, as well as a strong background in early childhood education. The ideal nanny will be organised, proactive, and able to plan a variety of activities that promote the children’s emotional, social, and intellectual growth. Safety is a priority, and the nanny will ensure the children’s well-being during both indoor and outdoor activities. The nanny will work closely with the parents to support the children’s overall development and well-being, stepping in to care for the children in case of illness or injury.
The salary on offer is £60k gross per annum, depending on skills and qualifications. This position is ideal for a professional nanny who is passionate about childcare and development, with the ability to manage a busy household and work collaboratively in a fully staffed home.
