A warm and welcoming family based just off Kensington High Street are seeking an experienced, qualified, and professional rota nanny to care for their delightful 18-month-old twin girls. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a career nanny who enjoys working within a fully staffed household and takes pride in providing exceptional care during the early years.

Working on a 14 days on / 14 days off rota, the successful candidate will join an established childcare team, working closely with the parents and wider household staff to ensure consistency, structure, and a nurturing environment for the children.

The twins are happy, well-adjusted little girls with a gentle, established routine, sleeping from approximately 7:30pm–6:00am. The family follow a gentle parenting approach and are seeking a nanny who shares similar values whilst bringing confidence, emotional maturity, and strong early years knowledge.

The mother is very hands-on and enjoys spending time with the children, with a balance of shared and sole-charge care throughout the day. Mornings typically include outings for mum and the daily nanny, often including trips to Holland Park and other local parks and activities. This allows the rota nanny structured downtime during part of the morning before resuming duties later in the day.

The family place great importance on emotional intelligence, flexibility, and a calm, stable presence in the home. They are seeking a nanny who is organised, easy-going, and a strong team player, with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a busy household.

Extensive international travel is a key part of the role, alongside occasional proxy parenting when required. Whilst on duty, the nanny will have their own private bedroom with en-suite bathroom within the children’s floor of the home, offering comfort and privacy during working rotations.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional care for 18-month-old twin girls.
• Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities to support development, learning, and creativity.
• Supporting and maintaining established routines for meals, naps, play, bath time, and bedtime.
• Encouraging independence and confidence in line with gentle parenting principles.
• Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children when required.
• Managing children’s laundry, wardrobes, and nursery organisation.
• Accompanying the family on international travel throughout the year.
• Providing sole-charge and occasional proxy parenting when required.
• Supporting developmental milestones and adapting activities as the children grow.
• Working collaboratively with parents and household staff to ensure consistency of care.
• Ensuring the children’s safety, wellbeing, and emotional development at all times.

Essential Requirements

• Recognised childcare qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 3 or equivalent).
• Significant professional nanny experience, including twin experience.
• Previous rota nanny experience within private households.
• Strong understanding of toddler development and early years education.
• Calm, emotionally intelligent, flexible, and highly organised.
• Confident working within a fully staffed and team-based household.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, collaborative attitude.
• Comfortable with sole-charge and proxy parenting responsibilities.
• Happy to travel extensively with the family.
• Fluent English essential.

Italian language skills would be a strong advantage, although not essential.

Salary & Benefits

• £75,000 gross per annum, depending on experience.
