Job Specification
A returning, warm, and welcoming family are seeking an experienced, proactive, and engaging holiday nanny to care for their 2½-year-old daughter during a summer stay in London. The primary focus will be on the toddler’s independence, social development, and learning through play and gentle guidance.
The family hopes to bring the baby’s usual nanny to the UK. If this isn’t possible, the holiday nanny will also assist with care for the 10-month-old sibling.
Schedule & Hours
- July – Early September
- 6 days per week
- 7:00am – 7:00pm
- Live-in accommodation available (private bedroom & bathroom)
Key Responsibilities
- Sole-charge care of the toddler, supporting independence and early learning
- Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities and outings in London
- Use local resources and children’s activities (family has access to Purple Dragon membership)
- Promote social development, manners, and table etiquette
- Encourage potty training when emotionally ready
- Maintain a calm, consistent routine
- Assist with care for the 10-month-old if required
Ideal Candidate
- Experienced with toddlers and confident with babies
- Warm, calm, and engaging
- Proactive and flexible, able to work alongside another nanny if needed
- Familiarity with Montessori-style approaches is a plus
- Knowledgeable about child-friendly activities in London
